The Out & About GPS personal alarm watch

What is a GPS personal alarm?

A GPS personal alarm is a mobile alarm, often worn as a watch or pendant, that works anywhere with a mobile signal, not just at home. As well as raising an alarm at the press of a button, it can share the wearer's location with the monitoring team using satellite positioning (GPS).

How does the location feature work?

When an alarm is raised, our care team can request the device's location on demand. The built-in GPS pinpoints where the wearer is, so responders can be guided straight to them, even if the wearer doesn't know exactly where they are, or can't explain.

  • Helpful if a fall happens on a walk or while out shopping.
  • Reassuring for families when a loved one is on the go.
  • Some devices also offer geofence alerts if the wearer leaves a familiar area.

Is it tracking me all the time?

Our service is designed around location on demand, the team checks the location when help is needed, rather than constantly watching where someone is. It's about safety and reassurance, not surveillance.

Who is a GPS alarm best for?

If your loved one is active and independent, still getting out for walks, errands or to see friends, a GPS alarm extends their protection beyond the front door. Our Out & About watch also includes fall detection, two-way speech, heart-rate and step tracking, and IP67 water resistance.

If staying safe away from home matters, a GPS alarm is usually the answer.
